Finding The Pet Day Care Of My Dreams

Do You See Stray Cats Regularly? Consider Taking Them To A Spay Clinic

Cats are a popular household pet, but they are also pretty common to find on the streets. While it is best not to feed these critters as it encourages them to rely on you for a food source, you may not want to leave them alone, especially if they continually hang around your property. One of the most beneficial things you can do for them is to find and catch the females and take them to a local spay clinic.

Reduce or Eliminate Aggressive Tendencies

By getting a female cat spayed, you can put an end to their aggressive streak. It is ideal, especially if you have pets or children that end up running into the cats that spend time on or around your property. It is also a nice way to keep your house peaceful and quiet as cat fights can get loud and unsettling. Since the procedure is permanent, you do not have to worry about continually treating them.

Keep the Feline Population Down

When you do not spay females, they will naturally have babies over and over again. Unfortunately, this means you will end up with multiple litters of kittens in your backyard or near your house. As cute as kittens may be, you are better off not seeing them at all as they have nowhere else to go. Getting the stray cats spayed is an effective way to keep the cat population down, which is better for everyone.

Without fixed cats, you may find it tempting to adopt one of the stray kittens that you see around your property. However, you can find plenty of felines at animal shelters without having to take one from the wild. If you really want to have a kitten, you can find a breeder with pictures that are taken from birth.

Eliminate Spraying Around Your Property

One of the things that cats will do when they are feeling territorial is spray. While spraying is most common in males, it is entirely possible for female cats to spray, and they do so more often when they are not fixed. Their urine can cause some serious damage to lawn and even wooden structures. So, it is best to get them spayed early on to minimize or eliminate the chance that they spray on your property.

If you want to do good for yourself, your neighborhood, and the cats, you should consider trapping or enticing the stray female cats to get into a carrier and off to get spayed at a clinic. Contact a business, such as the Ark Veterinary Hospital, for more information.

About Me

Finding The Pet Day Care Of My Dreams

Once my work schedule changed, I knew that I would be required to work out of the country from time to time. I was pretty worried about leaving my pet alone for days on end, so I decided to investigate professional dog day care centers. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a place that would work, but surprisingly, I found a facility without any trouble at all. In addition to having trained veterinarians on staff, the facility also strived to provide for every comfort a dog could ask for. There was a pet pool, a pet play area, and even individual pet sleeping areas. This blog is all about finding the pet day care of your dreams, so that you don't have to stress when you travel.
